chocolate croissants every morning from the bakery around the corner, walking along the harbor near our airbnb, playing hide and seek walking everywhere, sleeping next to esme in the nook in the living room wall, 6 miles of walking a day, the wonderful patio at the airbnb, the time out market, esme being a total doll and so happy the whole trip, trams-busses-trains-airplanes and no carseat the whole week, those little famous pastries, kind people, climbing the stairs to the lookout by our airbnb, the parks with cafes attached, chilly, the day at the beautiful palace in the mountain city of Sintra, the big stone tub, the day in the beach city called Cascais, daddy carrying esme for so many long naps in his arms while we were out exploring, the night at the restaurant listening to live fado music, rose wine, the 7 hour night flight there and 9 hour day flight home, the fancy restaurant in our neighborhood, walking the cobblestone allies and ducking into the random little stores when we needed anything, the aquarium and cable car, a wonderful trip to be sure we shall never forget!
